How It Works

1.

2.

The first step to every Caring Card development starts with hours in nature, trying to capture that perfect pose and expression of an animal, like a fox, deer, eagle and much more.

The second step is the design for both sides of the folded card. This is the step where we can be creative with photos for the front cover and develop a theme for our message on the inside. We get to add our personal touches that we know the recipients will enjoy. The shapes, colors and layouts are so unique for each Caring Card, which makes them stand out.

3.

The third step is one of the most important steps. This is where Project Caring Cards hits the phones and emails and social media. We are constantly seeking out nursing homes, correctional facilities and hospitals to send cards to. Once we find some facilities, we talk about the details with them and find out how many Caring Cards are needed.

4.

The fourth step is even more important than the previous step... Fundraising and Donations! Without this step, Project Caring Cards cannot be successful. Many of the facilities that we send cards to do not have funding for this project. That's when we made Project Caring Cards a 501c3 non profit to benefit the community. We find individuals and companies and organizations that want to team up with us and support our mission to better lives. We've had donations that range from $5 all the way to $200! We also do some fun fundraisers where I auction off printed nature photos and more.

5.

Now that we have funding, the fifth step is printing the Caring Cards. Project Caring Cards works with a wonderful printing company that cares about our mission and they want to help with cost and much more. We send our designs to them and they print each side with such high quality, it's as if you can reach out and touch the butterfly on the front cover! The printer also scores and folds each Caring Card. Then they send them to us within five days.

6.

Our most favorite step is this step! We get to deliver the Caring Cards to the nursing homes, hospitals and correctional facilities! Many times, we personally deliver the stacks of card, sometimes we send through the mail, like to a correctional facility. Now, the recipients can view the nature photos and read our personal message inside each card!

7.

The last and final step is when we get to see photos of the recipients with their cards! This is why Project Caring Cards does what it does! We love to see and feel what a huge difference we are making in people's lives as they SMILE!

Then, we do it all over again!
